Symmetry Extra Credit

Watch TV for extra credit?!?  Has Mrs. Sauber lost her mind?  No, you just lucked out.  :)  Click on the link below to watch an episode of "Cyberchase" related to symmetry.  Post 1 thing you learned about symmetry after watching this TV show.  Remember to post your name so you receive credit for your hard work!  Enjoy! :)

semmentry is when two shapes or figures look the same even when there turned.

I learned that there are 3 different kinds of lines of symmetery. The turn symmetery is when you take a figure and turn it and you can still cut it in half,a slide symmetery is when you can take 2 figures and slide them together to make it look as if there is only 1 figure there and last a flip symmetery is when you take at least 1 figure and flip it around so you can possibly cut it in half.

I learned that when two shapes are symmetrical, they can be slided, turned or flipped and still be the same.

I learned that a line of symmeteryis a basic line but if you fold it right on that line both side would equal. That is what I learned.

I learned that slide symmetry is where you can move a shape and it wouldn't look like it was moving.
